Tools and Hardware Reviews of Inova X5MT-WT X5 Lithium Powered 5-LED Flashlight, TitaniumCustomer Review: As good as they come Summary: 5 Stars
I have only had mine a short time but am really impressed. It is built like a tank. No plastic junk here. Light is more than adequate for its size. It is as bright or brighter than any AA battery powered light I have seen or used. Im use to push buttons to turn flashlights off and on so the twist is different but probably less trouble prone. I can certainly live with it. I like the flash button the bottom. As far as the battery life, I havent had it long enough to complain or brag. I can say that if it lives up to its reputation for shelf life, in the long run they will be the cheapest batteries. I always buy the best batteries for my flashlights and they still go dim quickly and lose their brithtness and become a dull yellow. It seems that I am always changing and buying new batteries. especially for the krypton bulb lights. So far the 123 batteries are holding up well and I am not having to change them at all. Im going to buy 2 more of these lights and can a couple of the current lights I have.
Customer Review: Awesome power in a small package Summary: 4 Stars
I have owned this particular light for a few years now. I use it with the kids, at night, in the room, to find broken glass, lost contacts. the uses have been numerous. Of course with any UV or Laser device. Never point directly in to the eyes. I know this is not a laser, but the same rule applies. I have owned several UV flashlights, and this one by far blows the others in the category away. The bulbs are SUPER BRIGHT and I have only replaced the batteries once in about 3 years. I am a geek when it comes to this stuff. 5W LED light, 30mW lasers, and this light. Also, this is good fun when you want to use flourescent paints / glow-in-the-dark stuff or even just flourescent crayons/markers with young ones.. Or even yourself. Buy an invisible marker and write messages and then make them show.
CONS:
The only drawback I can see is that this unit is not water proof or water resistant. The bulbs themselves are exposed on the end, and I would be very leary about using it outdoors with any sort of mist or rain.
Customer Review: Decent but dim. Summary: 3 Stars
Not nearly as bright as a 2 A cell Energizer LED light that I paid less for. And the Inova uses MUCH more expensive batteries.
The Energizer is about 2 inches longer, so unless size is a major criterion I recommend the Energizer Metal 1 Watt LED flashlight over this one. If you really want a smaller one check out the Coast LED Lensers.
Customer Review: Good Flashlight Summary: 5 Stars
I had bought several of these in the past for myself and family as gifts. Inova makes some really well designed lights. They are built to last forever, but I lost a couple on the job. So I bought two more. They are really good and fit into my tool pouch holder where a "Mini Mag lite is made to fit. Only drawback is the special batteries they use, but you can buy them bulk at reasonable prices on the web.
Customer Review: Great Flashlight - Not sure about battery Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoy this flashlight. I purchased it after seeing my friend with one. The price is not too bad and it packs a punch for the size. I have not had it long enough to speak on the battery life, but my friend says it's not bad. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a functional flashlight that will leave everyone jealous asking what it is.
