UPDATE: Ok, my bad. I didn't read the included instructions for a simple plug adapter eh? Well turns out after you unlock the socket and the prongs pop out, you have to lock it again. This stops them going back, and this solves the issue I had of it not staying in the socket.
I recently moved to America from the UK so I had a few appliances that had a British three pronged plug that I needed to use. I bought five of these adapters and none of them stay in the socket. As the US plug can be neatly tucked in when traveling, it also means that is gets slightly pushed back into the adapter when you try and plug it into the wall. As a result the prongs don't go into the socket far enough and simply fall out. I tried various different plugs and extension cords to make sure it wasn't just an isolated incident. Simply useless for me, maybe you can use it in the UK or Europe, but for use in the US it's of no use.
And the shipping cost on these things is ridiculous, I know they're trying to make it look cheaper and get you on the shipping. If I wanted sleazy pricing tactics I'd go shopping on eBay.

I loved that this was inexpensive and it worked with almost everything I brought to Italy, Spain, and France.
However, I plugged my very nice blow dryer into this and nearly destroyed it! The coils got red hot, I had to quickly turn it off, and I smelled a burnt smell. I'm now on the hunt for a power converter that will reduce the voltage...Just beware with blow dryers, I wouldn't recommend this adapter!

We took this adapter with us to Europe this summer. We went to Barcelona, Paris, Turkey, and the London. The adapter worked great in all countries especially considering that in Europe the electricity sockets are about an inch inside the wall (I suppose to protect children). The adapter had absolutely no trouble with all my equipment (Laptop, battery chargers [AA and camera]). I would highly recommend this for the traveling person.
Oh, and shipping and handling was good as well. Mine came with a little pouch as well which I used for other things :p
