This product is nearly perfect. Most combination power failure - night lights sold now use a small red LED as a night light. In fact they now call them "guide lights" because they really don't light up anything in the house to help you move around at night. This one has a neon bulb (so it makes a yellow light - not white) which makes a pretty good night light, even if it's not a white light. And when the power goes out, the light comes on, and then you can unplug it and use it as a flashlight.Customer Review: Close but no emergency beacon

I ordered and am using 4 of these, but having used Intermatic products for 20 years, I am not impressed. The emergency light given off is not as bright as I would have expected, however, they can fuction similar to the aisle lighting in a movie theatre to at least get one through the hall or garage in an emergency.Customer Review: Does not work or works for few days

Not good. I bought three. Two of them do not turn on when power goes out. It does not have a light sensor, stays on all the time.
