Brought this alarm to keep my three year old from going out the front door without me hearing him.(I also have those plastic covers on the doorknobs, but he has mastered that.)It was easy to install,and seems to be working great so far. He tried once to open door while I was in bathroom, the alarm went off, and he shut the door quick, fast and in a hurry!
Description of Intermatic SP440B Wireless Window Alarm, White
The Intermatic wireless window alarm mounts on a window. It includes an on/off switch which activates/deactivates alarm. The siren is 90 DB's. It's piercing alarm activates when contact point is broken. A great security device at a fraction of the cost of an installed version.The Intermatic magnetic trip wireless alarm provides safety, security and convenience. Mounted with double-sided tape to a door or window frame, the alarm sounds a piercing 90 dB siren when the magnetic contact separates. When the code is entered on the on/off switch, the alarm is activated/deactivated. This switch operates on and includes three replaceable 1.5-volt button batteries. This ivory security system comes with a 6-year limited warranty.
