I bought these for my mother who lives alone for her windows & doors. They were easy to install and I did use velcro to hang them instead of the supplied glue strips due to other reviews stating they fell after a short period of time. I got these for my college daughter's first apartment. They are easy to put in place and make a loud piercing noise if the window is opened. My only issue is the adhesive fell off one window, and the alarm went off. Once that was addressed a great deal on a creative product.
