Since the seller did not ship the Intermatic SP440B which I ordered but instead substituted an unknown brand look-alike, I am unable to review. I certainly could give a review of the seller, however; but I don't think this language would be accepted.

Easy to set up, and loud enough to wake the dead!
Two pieces (as pictured). You stick one to your door frame, and the other - to the door itself. Position them in such a way that they come together when the door is closed. Flick the switch to "ON", and you're set.
As soon as the door opens, and the two pieces are separated - RUN FOR THE HILLS (because it's about as loud as one of those air horns at baseball games).
So loud is this tiny gadget, that it creates a disorienting effect to the intruder.
For maximum effect, mine is set at "head-height". That way an intruder would have this "air horn" closest to his ears. Sweet!
Suggestion: Make use of the little sticky strips that come with the unit.

We bought these years ago when our son was 2 and we had foster kids. We use them on doors as well as windows. They are great at night when my wife is alone. She feels safer woth these. The batteries have not been replaced for 4 years and they are still working awesome. We turn them on every night. This is alot cheaper than an alarm. We recommend these to everyone.Customer Review: What do you expect for $5

These things are ok. If you live in a small apartment/house, and are sleeping (no background noise), you may hear the alarm? But, there is NO way in HEEL that it's 90 db! Another problem is: if the two pieces are not lined up "precisely" The alarm goes of!
I ordered this product in hopes it would be superior (louder) to GE similar product (which I purchased earlier). It is NOT! The GE product is clearly superior!

These were necessary to pass a final inspection for my pool a fast easy fix. I have used the stickers that came with the alarms. Hopefully they done fall off because the alarm is very loud!
