Just got these in and used for first time. Nice to have plier ends for twisting wires. Strippers are very sharp. I have only used on solid wire, cant wait to see how well they perform on stranded...Customer Review: I have had a set like this for 30 years.

I needed to replace my old worn out tool, I looked for the same tool under the "old brand name" and I couldn't find it, so I was happy to find this design again under irwin industrial tools. This is one of those tools that after many years of using it you just can't do without it, well made and well designed.Customer Review: Many uses, no spring

These strippers are sturdy and strong, but lack a spring to open them and a lock to keep them closed. Neigther of these are advertised as being part of the tool, so I suppose you get what you order. I recommend them to anyone who regularly needs to strip heavier gauge wire.
I've not yet used the crimper or bolt cutter parts and cannot review them.

This is an excellent product from Irwin Industries. I have two adjustable pliers from Irwin that are of excellent quality as well. This wire stripper, cutter and crimper has most of the dies that you would need for any general electrical job along with a high quality professional handle and material. It has a narrow tip for getting into small places and will last a long time.
