In order to save a few hundred dollars, I attempted to install a hitch on an SUV myself. The first thing that had to be done was remove the rear tow hooks, In the course of trying to remove the hook bolts (which were torqued to I guess 75 ft lbs!), I rounded the heads of two of the bolts, even though I was using the correct socket size....disaster! I did some quick internet research, and came across "Irwin's Bolt Grip". The product consists of 5 very unusual looking sockets (for bolts from 3/8 to 5/8, i.e. 10 mm to 16 mm) which can be attached directly to a socket wrench, or in my case to a 7/8 in socket which was attached to a 20 inch breaker bar. Miraculously the well rounded bolts broke free immediately!
This product is a life saver! Don't hesitate to use it should the occasion arise.
