I asked my husband for this jewelry box for my birthday, as I make jewelry and had outgrown my old one. I was happy to get it, but wasn't expecting to be so surprised. I was completely thrilled by how beautiful this piece is. The picture (at least on my computer) did not do it justice. I even asked if this was the one I'd asked for! The rosewood is a gorgeous color and it is lacquered to an amazing shine. I'd consider this a piece to pass on to my daughter.
I wasn't sure if it would have enough room for all my jewelry, but it did, with room to add more to my collection. The anti-tarnish property is a real bonus, too.
This is a wonderful gift for jewelry lovers. (Thanks, Honey!)

My Husband ordered this for me as a Yule Gift. It is beautiful and well made. I have seen similar jewerly boxes, for more money, that are not as well made. I just received this jewelry box for Christmas and I am thrilled! The rosewood is a gorgeous color and the finish makes it so shiny and special. There is a ton of space in here (I thought I would need to still use another smaller box along with this, but it amazingly all fits). I'm really glad that it is filled with anti-tarnish fabric and it even comes with 2 polishing cloths to keep everything looking nice. As other reviewers have said, there are probably too many spaces for rings, and not enough space for necklaces, but I used this to my advantage since I have a TON of earrings-- the studs and bigger pieces that would fit went nicely into the ring slots, along with my pendants. And I solved the necklace problem by using a clear plastic necklace hanging case-- much better for longer necklaces anyway.
Overall a lovely piece and I am proud to have it on display
