Tools and Hardware Reviews of Jiffy Steamer 0601 ESTEAM Travel Steamer, BlackCustomer Review: GREAT LITTLE GADGET!!! Summary: 5 Stars
WE USE THIS STEAMER TO PUT FINISHING TOUCHES ON OUR CLOTHES, COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET, BEFORE PUTTING THEM ON. FOR SOME REASON, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE GOOD, THIS JUST ADDS A NICE FINISH.
Customer Review: GREAT STEAMER! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this little travel steamer to take on my cruise and it worked great. I just used some bottled water in it and it gave me 15 minutes of powerful steam! I was able to steam everything I brought with me without having to stop to refill it. It works GREAT! Thanks for putting such a great product out there. It's really refreshing to purchase a product that actually works!!! Thanks again!
Customer Review: Generates a lot of steam, wish it had an on/off switch Summary: 4 Stars
This little unit generates a lot of steam! Very simple to use, fill it with water, twist on the lid, and plug it in. Heats up and starts steaming in just a couple of minutes.
It lacks an on/off switch which would have been a nice feature. Also has no controls to regulate the amount of steam. It's just a bare-bones steam maker.
Keep out of reach of children. Not too hard to get burned using this item. You have to be mindful not to tilt it too far from upright during use or it will spray hot water not just steam. If it had an on/off switch and maybe some built-in safety features I would have rated this one 5 stars.
Added bonus: this item is made in the USA, at least at the time of my purchase (2010).

Customer Review: Good for certain kinds of fabrics Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this steamer in an attempt to get wrinkles out of a dress made of J. Crew tricotine silk since I kept reading on the web how one should not iron this fabric. The edges of the steamer head kept making more wrinkles and the occasional spit of water made me stop using this. An iron surprisingly did the trick. That being said, the steamer was excellent for getting rid of some sweater wrinkles that even ironing couldn't get rid of. It also worked for a thinner silk scarf and did surprisingly well with cotton pants. It's not very heavy but I doubt I'd ever pack this if I were flying unless I absolutely needed it. The relatively small size is nice though for occasional steaming without having to keep a large, bulky device that usual steamers are. Kind of pricey, but worth it if it's what you are looking for.
