Tools and Hardware Reviews of Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment SteamerCustomer Review: Great Steamer Summary: 5 Stars
I love this steamer, a lot of steam comes out and gets all the wrinkles out. Very good purchase.
Customer Review: Great Steamer Summary: 4 Stars
Overall I like the Jiffy Steamer J-2000. It is convenient to use because no ironing board is needed. The rod, which attaches to the steamer base, will hold a hanger with the garmet on it is handy. I have a large closet with an outlet so I have the steamer in my closet.
I did have an issue with getting more water than steam so I sent an email to the customer service department and was very pleasantly surprised when a representative called me to give me a tip on how to prevent that from happening. Since then I've had no issues. The tip is to pinch the hose until you hear a whishing sound which means the excess water has returned to the water tank.
The steam is steam and thus very hot. I've found some garmets do take a bit more steam than I would have thought but it is so handy to use that I don't mind taking the few minutes to freshen up clothes. It works great on summer sweaters!
I did not purchase the board and I'm looking to so do because I think that would make it even easier to remove the wrinkles.
Customer Review: Great Steamer Overall Summary: 5 Stars
Have to say that overall, the performance on this machine has been stellar. I bought it from Amazon nearly five years ago now, and have had few problems with it. About two years ago, I had to replace the water reservoir (believe it was ~$25) because it had a crack in it. About a week ago, I noticed the steamer is leaking from the bottom. I thought it was the water reservoir again, so I removed it and put it in the kitchen. Next day, I come back and notice there's a new puddle under the steamer. Apparently, it's leaking from somewhere underneath. Not sure if I can fix it, so if I can't, I'll buy another Jiffy.
Now performance- this thing will steam just about anything (I use it for clothes almost exclusively) that you would wear to work (business casual, suits, etc.). The only problems I've ever had getting wrinkles out of were high cotton content garments (same garments that would be tough to iron!!!). I literally haven't touched my iron once since the day the steamer showed up though. I'm ok with that, since that's the reason I bought it in the first place!
Bottom line is that this steamer works great with most all clothing, particularly synthetics and blends. Good luck!

Customer Review: Great at gettng rid of wrinkles, but not sturdy Summary: 3 Stars
I am a stylist and use this to steam clothing for photo shoots. It works great on all fabrics, I use it for denim, silk, satin, cotton, nylon, ect. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very unstable. We have two and one constantly leaks water all over the floor because it has fallen over multiple times. If the garment that you are steaming is too heavy then the steamer may fall over. Also, the pole to hang the clothes on becomes loose after doing the front and turning the garment to steam the back. The pole is only one height which makes it complicated to steam floor length gowns.
If anyone has trouble getting wrinkles out, try steaming from the inside of the garment. If there are still wrinkles then they are probably permanent. I've had knitted t-shirts that still have faint wrinkles after multiple steams, it probably has something to do with the production of the garment, not the steamer.
