This company has been sending me "order processing verification" notices for a week. I tried to call them, only to enter the maze of their customer service telephone system, which is incomprehensible. I received another notice today. No matter, really. After reading rave reviews on amazon.com I purchased the Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential garment steamer on August 25, 2010 and gave it as a gift on September 10th.
This was an anniversary gift to my daughter and her husband. They work long hours everyday with over an hour commuting time to and from New York City. The steamer made their lives easier and they were thrilled with the gift.
I visited recently and found the steamer in their garage. It seems the machine had been leaking for some time but they didn't want to tell me for fear of hurting my feelings. They used it for less than 30 days.
I just checked amazon.com about returning the steamer and it states my return period ended on September 27th. You mean to tell me I had only 30 days to return if something went wrong? That is outrageous and would not happen if I had purchased it at a regular store in my area.
I am very disappointed in my purchase and amazon.com's return policy. I seriously doubt that I will purchase anymore products from amazon.com in the future. Sometimes brick and mortar stores are the best way to shop.

After reading other consumer reviews, I bought this steamer. I works unbelievably well, and saved me alot of money already. It is sturdy, heats up quickly, can be moved around without much effort, and gives some garments another wearing before having to be dry cleaned. My wife tends to leave my laundry in the dryer, so when it comes to me, it's chock full of wrinkles. Rather than doing the laundry myself, I got this steamer to be able to quickly steam whatever I want to wear pretty quick...I mean "man-quick" as we don't like to do anything for more than a minute or two.
So--Gentlemen: This is a pretty straight forward machine. Steamer, tank, and wand. On/off button. No frills other than the tank has a stop leak fill cap. Holds about a gallon of distilled water.
Turns on and is ready to go within a minute. Steams a shirt in about minute or two. Will steam curtains in about 5 minutes. I hung them, so I figured I'd steam them for her!~
Pretty darn good...Does what it's supposed to do!~
