Tools and Hardware Reviews of KOHLER K-4732-0 Transitions Quiet-Close Toilet Seat, WhiteCustomer Review: Whole family pleased Summary: 5 Stars
The Kohler Transitions toilet seat has been wonderful as our 3 year old trains on the regular toilet. We had so much trouble with portable toddler seats that did not fit our elongated toilet and ended up a drippy mess. We have 2 of the new seats and couldn't be happier. Our 11 year old was so tired of sharing a bathroom with his 3 year old sister, finally he can simply lift the toddler seat and no mess!
Highly recommend.
Customer Review: Wonderful Potty Training Aid Summary: 5 Stars
My son loves this potty seat. We tried the puffy kind that sit on top of the regular seat but they move around; he feels unstable on them and can't relax. This seat is attached and feels completely stable. The elongated shape of the seat allows him to have a broad range of seating positions that feel comfortable; he is able to sit far enough back that we don't get the fountain flow off the front. Because it looks like the one Mommy and Daddy use, he really feels like a big boy - important motivation in this process.
Customer Review: Works perfect Summary: 5 Stars
This seat is perfect. No more stinky little potty (that no matter how much you wash always seem to smell like urine) that doesn't fit in our tiny bathroom anyway. This seat is safe as it doesn't shift like many of the seats that sit on the toilet right. My daughter loves it. It wipes up clean and fast with a cleaning wipe.
Customer Review: Would now rate this a 2 star Summary: 5 Stars
We love these seats and have them installed on all 3 of our toilets. Now we don't have to worry about where to store the children's seats or worry about the kids dropping their seats in the toilet. :) The child seat does NOT "poke" an adult when it is up.
Also, love the quiet close and the fact that you can take it off to clean under back where it attaches to the toilet.
Plan on getting these seats for the new house too!
Kohler had to replace one of the seats because one of the "latches" that keep them on the toilet broke. They all now have weak "latches" which allows them to move around on the toilet base. We will not be buying these for the new house and no longer recommend them. We'll be looking for a different brand that doesn't use cheap plastic.
Customer Review: almost perfect Summary: 4 Stars
We just got this toilet seat for our 2 year old son. It was easy to install, and looks fine (I've seen the reviews that said it looks odd, but it really looks more odd in the picture here than it does on our toilet). The seat is solid and sturdy, and should be easy to clean. I love that the inner edge of the toddler ring on this one curves down to completely cover the gap between it and the adult ring, and the adult ring as well, so urine can't get in between the seats to leave a ring on the adult seat (looks like lots of complaints about that with other brands of training seats). I can't imagine the toddler seat hitting me in the back while sitting on the toilet--I tried, since I read this complaint in other posts. I had to lean really far back to even touch it.
My one and only reservation is the opening in the toddler seat is quite long from front to rear. My son seemed to like sitting at the rear best, where he can have a bit of support under him at the back, but he can't get there by himself, so I either need to lift him back there, or let him perch on the front himself (where I urine will head out to the floor, rather than into the toilet--wouldn't be a problem with girls). Maybe as he gets a little older, taller, better at climbing/maneuvering, and more comfortable on the toilet, this won't be a problem.
Overall, very highly recommended.
