This paper towel holder is a great addition to our kitchen. The weight of the holder and rubber feet keep it in place on the counter when pulling on the towels. If you use a slight downward pulling action, the towels will tear at the perferations perfectly every time. I would highly recommend this holder to anyone needing an upright paper towel holder.
I have used this paper towel holder for 1 1/2 years. The only problem I've had is you need to clean the rubber feet occasionally with alcohol to keep the holder from sliding on the counter top.

This is a great product, probably best I've used so far. The stainless steel is nice looking and decent quality, and the click-click turning mechanism works well and is kind of fun. I haven't had any problems with it, and it fits all the towels (Scott big roll) I use without having to screw off the top part (towel fits right in from top). I'm not a mechanical engineer, a physicist, nor do I sell paper products. I just have to say that this thing works. After buying several generic type holders over the years, which were always more of a pain, we found this one while walking the aisles at the Costco. It's weighted base keeps it in place while tearing off a sheet and the roll doesn't unravel. It's been about a month and so far, so good. Crossing my fingers that something inside doesn't snap and causes the roll to free wheel. Completely happy so far.Customer Review: It really works

I bought one of these just because I didn't have a place to mount a wall holder. I didn't even pay any attention to the key element of its design - the ability to tear off paper with only one hand. Now that's my favorite part.
This is so convenient. I've given two for gifts, and my friends just love it too.
