I bought this unit because it said it was "whisper" quiet. If you replace the word "whisper" with "freight train" it would be a more apt description! My daughters are used to white noise as we have soft music playing in their rooms. I thought it would mask the humidifier. It didn't. It was so loud my daughter woke up and was scared. I'll be returning it today. If you're not bothered by noise then this would be an okay humidifer, but don't be fooled by their claims.Customer Review: Recommend removing vent grill

I ordered this to repalce a Kaz humidifier that I loved, but was wearing out. I prefer this style because it doesn't leak and there aren't any wet, slimy filters to handle. It is noisier than my last model, but still allows me to sleep. My only complaint: It didn't create much mist even after many uses and the water level barely changed. Then I noticed how the water was condensing on the vent grill. After taking this off, I am now getting plenty of mist and can definity tell that the water level gets lower.Customer Review: SImple, quiet product

I have a two year old and a six month old that share a room, and both are congested with dry noses. This product is great for their room-it's whisper quiet (I would not put anything in their room that would chance waking them up-I like my sleep too!)and simple to use, no buttons, difficult filters. If I need to, I can sneak into their room and add water without having to take anything apart that might wake them. Just an easy, reliable product. I've had it for over a year now and is still as great as the day I bought it. I do clean and replace water daily, so that might be contributing to it's maintinence. To the lady with the black slimy water: Ewww! A filter isn't a magic wand, you have to do some manual upkeep yourself!Customer Review: Water mist sprayer not humidifier

This device is equivalent of the fan with water container which claims it can reduce the temperature. This is not humidifier, there is no steam at all, it sprays water mist and it's noisy as well. The grill is not adjustable and there's no low or high setting, I also received Kaz 4100 instead of the 4100K as the previous reviewer stated. This device is promoting mildew and mold to my bedroom, a definite reason to be sent back.Customer Review: Way too loud

This humidifer is so loud that the first night I had to take a sleeping pill in order to fall asleep with it on! The second night I simply unplugged it and gave up. To their credit, [...] did allow me to return it for a full refund despite the fact that I'd opened the box (obviously).
