I desperately needed a new cover for my iron board and read through all the reviews to find a decent and affordable cover. This cover is perfect in terms of fit and smoothness. You just need to make sure that you smooth the lining so that there wont be any lines underneath. I took one star off for the ridiculous purple speckled color they sent me. I know that it says colors may vary, but I don't know why they would ever send out that color. I would rather have taken that neutral color they show in the picture. After looking at Target, Sears and Fred Meyer, no one carried a decent quality replacement cover that had a silicone treatment. The silicone does make a difference when you are using a quality steam iron. It helps the clothing to easily slide along the board and not stick (like it would if you had simply a cotton cover). This cover is great! Good construction, quality fabric, fits snugly on the board and nice silicone treatment for the money. I live in the Seattle area and the shipment arrived within 2 days. I did get the purple one that everyone seems to not like, but I will you - it's actually a light lavender pastel color and not bad at all. It has some gold/silver flecks but it's ingrained in the material. No big deal!
I was taught to iron at a very early age by a Leave It to Beaver homemaker perfectionist mother (so I know what I'm doing!) and this replacement cover is very good for the money. It's a great cover - I will not wear anything out of the house without having a crisp crease ;-) Definitely glad I purchased it and didn't settle for what I found in the local retailers!

The texture is good, however, it doesn't fit the ironing board. Also, the piece that secures the cover to the ironing board was cut when it arrived...so, we're not able to use it. I would like to return it. Is this possible? It was disappointing.Customer Review: Ironing Board Pad and Cover

The ironing board cover I received is a nice silver/gray color. It fits my ironing board very well and is well padded. I would definitely purchase this item again.
