I purchased this "over the door" hangar for my husband. He's been using one that must be at least 30 yrs old or more and it finally gave way! He uses it regularly for getting his clothes ready for the next dsy, i.e. military unforms and other clothes too. They can be heavy so that's why I wanted another "metal" replacement and not plastic which will definitely break (like I had happen). This new one appears to be well made and not flimsy. It fits over the top of the bedroom closet door perfectly. You can pull the bar straight out and it will loosen so that you can drop it down when not using the bar. Of course, my husband leaves it straight out all the time! I've never written a review on here before and I hope that it helps someone. If something changes with this purchase, I will revise my review! I read reviews more and more and find them very helpful.
