Tools and Hardware Reviews of Keurig 15540 Green Mountain Coffee K-Cups, Hot Cocoa - 16 K-CupsCustomer Review: This one was a miss! Summary: 1 Stars
I like the convenience and quality of the k-cups and thought the hot chocolate would be as good as the coffee and tea. The problem is the chocolate is a fine powder so it remains in the container instead of dissolving and flowing into the mug. It is better to run a mug of hot water from your Keurig and then stir in your favorite packet of hot chocolate mix.
Customer Review: Ugh! Summary: 1 Stars
Just tried this in my Keurig Mini and it is awful. I wanted to use only 5-6 oz. of water, but the Mini insists that you use 8 oz., therefore the chocolate was watery with very little chocolate flavor.
I'll stick to milk mixed with Midnight Moo from Trader Joe's or a hot chocolate powder like Ghiradelli.
Customer Review: Very good tasting hot chocolate Summary: 5 Stars
Enjoyed it very much. One thing is you have to have the Keurig set for the tea cup size to get the full flavor. The middle setting, 7.25oz, is not as strong tasting. Some here didn't seem to mind and preferred to have the bigger cup. I would put some marshmallows in the bottom of of the cup and push brew, and you have a nice cup of hot chocolate with a creamy marshmallow layer on top.
Customer Review: Very weak flavor Summary: 1 Stars
I'm not happy at all with this cocoa. It's the weakest I've ever tasted. I add a little cream to help, and have given it a good try, but it's just NOT GOOD. I'm going back to Timothy's, which is far more flavorful. Additionally, I notice it seems to clog up my k-cup holder more than other cocoas I've tried. I generally don't leave bad reviews, but this was just plain NOT worth the money. The seller was very good however, I have no complaints in that regard. I just wouldn't buy this brand of cocoa again.
Customer Review: Very weak! Try another brand! Summary: 2 Stars
The other reviewers are right - this tastes like watery hot chocolate, like what you might get at a chilly high school football game for $1. You CAN open the K cup and pour out what gets left in there, but what's the point? It didnt improve the flavor and that kinda defeats the purpose of making it in a Keurig. I resorted to buying a canister of Ovaltine to mix in, which still defeats the purpose but at least they didn't go to waste.
With so many coffee choices, I thought there would be more hot chocolate ones too but I should have researched it more before we bought it. There are only a couple other choices, but I am waiting for them in the mail and so can't comment. But I wouldn't buy this brand again...I'll go back to packets in the microwave before I do that.
