Tools and Hardware Reviews of Kidde KL-2S Two-Story Fire Escape Ladder with Anti-Slip Rungs, 13-FootCustomer Review: Makes me feel good Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my daughter who lives in an apartment in Boston with no fire escape. I pray she never has to use it, of course, but feels better knowing she has this tucked under her bed.
Customer Review: Met all of my expectations Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased this product for a rental property and it fit nicely outside the window. Appears to be strong and strudy enough to allow the tenants to esacape out of the apartment and out to safety.
Customer Review: More information would have been helpful Summary: 3 Stars
It's impossible to know the quality of the product as it is a single use item. I didn't realize this when I purchased two for my home. They are here now, and as with all emergency equipment, we hope to never have to test them, but it certainly would be nice to do a test run.
Customer Review: Not always the right choice Summary: 3 Stars
This ladder, while light weight, might leave some users queasy, particularly if their second story window is not part of a sheer wall. Without support against the lower rungs, it's an e-ticket ride.
Customer Review: Not much to say Summary: 4 Stars
I was expecting to receive an emergency ladder that I could use out of a bed-room window and that is what this product is. I did find it a little strange that the instructions say "one-time use only". I'm not sure if that's a sales gimick, a safety issue (since the fire could damage the ladder) or if it's a durability matter. The ladder does seem quite solid and is well priced.
