I've had my Kit-Cat Clock for over 8 years and I've been really happy with it the whole time! It keeps perfect time and I've never had an issue with the moving parts until about a month ago when the tail and eyes stopped moving. I chalked it up to a broken clock and came on here to buy a new one because I love it so much. That's when I read all the complaints and actually found out about the troubleshooting site: [...]. Turns out that the years of accumulated dust and kitchen grease had made the eyes a little too heavy to keep them pivoting correctly and all they needed was a bath! Now it's up and running just like new!
Ok, drumroll... This. Clock. Is. Made. Of. Plastic. I don't get why people are up in arms about this? It does not look cheap when it's on the wall! In fact I like how lightweight the plastic is because the batteries last forever. I think I've changed the batteries 3 times since I bought it.
Some people also complain about it being "cheap" because it has very few components but I think that's the best part about it because you can actually FIX IT YOURSELF!!! Now that's something to get nostalgic about!
