I've done extensive research into mouse traps.
If you're not in pest management, but live in an apartment that may have mouse infestation, get this.
Reason why I love this:
-You can buy 12 or 20 of these traps and set it all over the house. Surely beats getting the electric zappers as those are expensive and requires batteries. Think about it, 20 of these verse 3 of the zappers. I can put this in my garage, living room, kitchen, everywhere that's hidden. I've caught a lot of these mouse. Mouse comes into my home every winter. So far, I think they're all gone. Not only because of the kill # but there's a side effect of the painful snapping action! ;-) Read below.
-About a few months ago, I heard a snap while I was asleep. I didn't feel like getting up to dispose of the rodent, but I did walk to the area where I heard the snap. I heard squealing and decided to get back to sleep and not mess with it. It could have been a big mouse because I heard a lot of noise. Usually, these small mouse would just quickly die. Anyway, the next morning, the mouse was gone! I've caught like 10+ mouse, and this is the first. I've never seen another mouse since. It must have went off to warn the others to stay off the property. It must have gotten it's leg trapped or something thus the loud commotion. May be cruel, but this is an added benefit of this mouse trap.
-peanut butter needs to be changed from time to time because there can be a layer of dust.
If you have a mouse problem, I believe this is the only way to get rid of them economically. Just becareful of where you put it (children) and note where you put them because you want to check on ALL of them once a while.
