I read every review written on this item twice. I have a tendency to not get anything with a negative review at all. I decided after much looking to bite the bullet, and order this. My boyfriend has really bad allergies so I was not able to get anything down. I had just gotten a great duvet cover in the mail and had to get a comforter quickly. I received this in the mail (It took longer than I expected) and loved how silky smooth it was. That night I blasted my air conditioning to test the warmth of my new comforter. I must say I was comfortable! My duvet is black and I do have to say I constantly find little white fuzzes all over. (Just as some of the reviews have warned) Also, about a day or two after I paid for it, the price went down ten dollars. I was bummed but decided that with free shipping it was still a great deal. This comforter keeps me warm and my boyfriends nose itch free. It is a great deal for the price. It is slightly heavy, but does not feel like I am sleeping under a steam roller. If you have doubts like I did, don't. It really is everything you would think it was and possibly more!Customer Review: A real alternative to down

I have used a down comforter for years but recently, I have felt I might be allergic to the feathers (or the dust on them) so decided to buy a Down Alternative comforter. This comforter is a real replacement for down; it is light but warm (for a Northern California winter anyway) and I am sleeping much better.Customer Review: Alternative Down Comforter

The only problem is the fuzz that it leaves on the blanket. After washing this seems less. Wash in a front load washer on gentle. No problems. Very warm and attractive. I have used this for 2 winters and washed it 3 times at the laundermat on cold. I do hang it on the line to dry.
