This s perfect for the key chain. I first learned of the Micro Light when I went to an Army Base. Everyone uses them to see when "lights are out" - nice option to lock the light on vs. the I model. This keychain light is perfect for when I'm shooting video in dark rooms. I often travel when I'm recording videos, so I want to keep my gear as light as possible.
This light fits the bill.
Plus, the red light doesn't destroy your night vision. You can walk through a dark room, check a setting on your camera, and scuttle off in another direction ... without waiting for your eyes to re-adjust.
I'll probably take this with me on my next camping trip!

I bought these and shipped to my nephew, who is serving overseas. He needed a light he could use in blackout conditions that didn't bother night vision. The red light was perfect. These came with a nice clip so he could clip on his uniform or equipment without having to dig around for them (I shipped him several).
They are also handy because they can be pushed on (or put in your mouth for a "bite on" effect) or they have a little switch so than can be turned on without having to maintain pressure on the sides. The choice is nice. I'm told they are frequently used just for a very small period of time, so the push on feature is used. I was surprised how far they threw the light, it would go at least a good 30 feet or more.
He was VERY grateful when these arrived in his most recent care package. These are the light the "guys love". Product arrived very quickly, prompt shipping. The only downside, is the packaging is a bit excessive, but they can be re-packaged if shipping.
