Excellent product and was delivered promptly. The size allows me to reduce the number of trips I have to make to our compost pile. I sometimes don't empty the container for 3 days and it has never emitted an odor. In addition, it's light weight, making it easy to carry even when filled to the brim. Once emptied, I give it a quick rinse and it's ready to go. The only thing I would have preferred is a choice of colors, but that's not a major issue since everything else about the product is great!Customer Review: Great size, no smell at all!

When we began composting, we bought a big compost bin for the back yard and used an old serving bowl in the mud room to hold kitchen scraps until they went to the big bin outside. Unfortunately, we weren't very good about taking them out, so they quickly smelled unpleasant. We purchased this for the carbon filter and the nice size, which we have found to be just right. It stays in the mud room, which is closed off from the kitchen, or else we would have chosen something more attractive. But, the size is perfect and the carbon filter works wonderfully. I was keeping my kitchen scraps in a Tupperware container on the kitchen counter and then under the sink b/c my wife couldn't stand looking at it. But it was a hassle to open and filled up too fast. With this compost bucket it fits perfectly under the sink, does not smell at all (when closed), the hinged lid is easy to open and add to and it is large enough to collect scraps for a week or two with my small family! I'm pleased that it holds several days worth of scraps, snaps shut and has a filter. The picture on the web site shows the filter on the outside, but the picture in the catalogue that came with shows it on the inside. This caused some confusion with assembly. The filter seems to be working well. There was a small triangular piece of plastic in the shipping box. I have no idea what that was or what it was for. While it is a bit pricey for a bucket, the size and design are perfect, and the filters do work, of course, they are pricey too. I just feel like I could have found or made something similar at the hardware store. Aside from all that, the product itself is terrific and works great.
