This method of humidifying is easily the best. There is no mess, clean moisture, no dripping. Runs like a dream it's quiet and the area you use it in becomes so comfortable. Don't waste money on a different humidifier try this and you will never go back.

Adds a ton of comfort
Cons:
A bit bulky
Filters, but they are cheap
Customer Review: Big and Loud Summary: 2 Stars
I was disappointed with this humidifier. It does seem to work well, but it is much louder than what I'm used to. I've been using a Venta VS207 (no longer available to purchase) which is almost inaudible, so I'm not used to any humidifier noise. We have small children in bedrooms nearby, and this unit is loud enough to make it hard to hear them if they wake up in the middle of the night, even if we leave it on the lowest setting. Plus, the self cleaning feature flows water across its interior surfaces constantly, which to me sounds like I left the water running somewhere.
I also found it difficult to refill. Your options are 1) take it apart and carry the base to the sink. There is no handle or lid to the base so you have to be very careful not to spill. Or 2) make 3 trips back and forth to the bathroom with a gallon bottle. I don't like either option, so I give this a thumbs down.
Customer Review: Decent Summary: 3 Stars
This humidifier doesn't leak and does the job, but it is easy to configure it so that it makes a lot of noise (the filter gets out of place) and it is tricky to refill the water since the base is so wide.
Customer Review: Didn't do anything Summary: 1 Stars
The first one came with a crack in the basin. Second one came and seemed to be fully functioning, but after a week there was no difference whatsoever in the air moisture in my bedroom even though I would turn it on full blast before going to bed and keeping it on entire night. Bedroom is a third the size of the supposed max. Returned the product.
Customer Review: Do not buy. Summary: 1 Stars
This purchase was an extreme disappointment for several reasons. First, the "3 Gallon Humidifier" title is horribly misleading. The humidifier actually holds 1 ¾ gallons but can evaporate 3 gallons in a day. That's like telling me how many gallons my car's gas tank can take in per day: interesting, I suppose, but not all that useful if I have to keep refilling it. Second, there is no easy way to refill this thing. You can either pour water into a top panel without moving the humidifier (which essentially requires that you have a hose or a bucket handy) or partially disassemble the top assembly with the fan and hoses from the bottom panel with the reservoir (which gets water everywhere). Other designs with lift-out water carriers are far superior. Finally, it erratically makes a gurgling/dripping noise that is loud enough to disturb my sleep and make me think I need to go to the bathroom. Do not waste your money on this humidifier.
