Very easy to assemble; Very light & easy to move around; Extremely effective at moving air around & cooling things down. I don't know where the complaints about noise level come from. I purchased this product for my mother, becuase she does not care so much for her air conditioner. She stated that the fan blows great air on low. She put it on high and got too cold. \Bottom line she loves this product.

I don't know what the other reviewers were smoking, but we found this fan totally awesome. We have many fans in our huge house, but this by far is the best. It is quiet, attractive to look at, solidly built, and moves far more air at even medium speed than the 16" fans on high, and it does it much more quietly. We are very pleased with this purchase. I purchased this fan for one of my child's un-airconditioned classrooms. The teacher thought it was a wonderful gift. The product is easy to assemble, moves a substantial amount of air at all three speeds, and is reasonably quiet. Equal in performance to much more expensive fans.Customer Review: Fan Review

My primary disappointment is the overall noise of the fan. Only on the lowest speed is the noise level acceptable. I never use the medium or high speeds. I've had other fans that were not as loud.
It was relatively easy to assemble. However, when oscillating, it does makes an annoying vibration sound - I'm not sure if I didn't put it together properly, but this additional noise further adds to the noise factor.
