This is a great tower fan - powerful and yet amazingly quiet. It is not an air conditioner, and yet it seems to cool the air by several degrees. It takes up very little space and so is quite useful in an apartment. I'm thinking of buying another one.Customer Review: A fantastic, attractive fan

I live in an old house which can be downright miserable in the summer because it lacks air conditioning. Not wanting to live in my basement when temperatures were hitting 100 this past summer, I had to find a fan that would propel air like no other. This fan has made me a Lasko convert. Yes, on levels 2 or 3 you should not plan on watching your favorite tv show. You will not be able to hear much. It is loud but I'm okay with that--whether for daytime or bedtime use. As an individual living in the city, I need a form of white noise to fall asleep so the volume of the blower fan is not burdensome. While the box suggest that the fan is perfect for shop areas or basements, I think it can be utilized in living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. It is an attractive fan that would fit in with most decors and can easily fit in corners or between couches. The picture portrays a grey looking fan but the one I received was a gold/tan color.
For those that are using quiet central air or an air conditioner and just want some device to circulate air, this may not be the best fan for you. For those of you who are suffering in your homes and could care less about noise, I really urge you to try this fan. The price is a little more than most tower fans but I think you will find yourself ordering another after trying your first one out.

This fan is AWESOME, we have one room in our house that for some reason is ALWAYS hot. This fan cools it perfectly, and we usually on have is on medium. Its pretty quite too. We are considering purchasing 2 or 3 more.Customer Review: Absolute life-saver!

My AC went out a couple days ago, and won't be repaired until later in the week. I have a couple of tower fans I was using, but with 90+ degree weather and hideous humidity, they just were not cutting it. I was convinced that I would have to check into a hotel. But fortunately, my mother offered me the use of this fan, which she had purchased the year before. I have to say that this is THE BEST FAN I have ever used! It truly has been a life-saver! It has cooled the room dramatically. I personally think it is a little on the loud side, but that is a "plus" in my book. I have always preferred the sound of a louder fan to use as "white noise" when I sleep...so this is just perfect. I decided I needed to buy one of my own...to keep!
