I'm approaching my second winter with this heater. I've had the smaller Holmes heaters which didn't do much of anything (and didn't last either). I find that for a small room, the temperature gauge is pretty accurate, however I'm not sure how accurate it would be in a larger room. I've used the timer/auto shut-off function once or twice. It's a pretty nice feature, though I don't have much a need for it. Hopefully it will last a long time, it's already lasted one season and shows no sign of breaking down.
Pros:
-Quiet on both speeds and during oscillation
-Takes minimal time to heat a small/medium sized room
-Remote controls all functions
-Easy on energy bills
-Takes a relatively small floor footprint
-Heats more than just my feet!
Cons:
-Cannot adjust temperature setting on low - for me it hovers around 72 degrees. With the high setting, you can adjust the heat between 68 & 85 degrees I believe.
-Does dry the air slightly, but it's very live-able.
-Collects a bit of dust on the internal components which cannot be easily vacuumed through the vents of the unit.

I've owned this product for nearly a year and was compelled to write this review when I picked up a second space heater (Bionaire tower) with similar features but which was rediculously loud. I use this heater in my son's room and on my RV to supliment the furnaces and it does a great job heating. Surface area of the blower is quite large and the heat nicely distributed accross it which keeps the blower noise down and the grill relitavely cool. Marked it down from 5 stars due to the thermometer running a degree or two too high (yes I am picky)Customer Review: EXCELLENT HEATER!!

This heater does the job perfectly. Great this is you can set the temperature settings and it will warm up the room up to that temperature. The remote is not all that great i think cos sometimes the buttons work and sometimes it doesn't...overall good product. will definitely recommend.Customer Review: Excellent Heater!

I bought this unit to heat my small rancher. My house is raised just above the bay, and the water below can make the rooms and floors freezing in the fall and winter months. When I got the heater, I turned it on and my entire home was warmed up within 10 minutes. Its so easy to use and circulates the warmed air all throughout the rooms and hallway. The unit does not get hot to the touch, and all of its features are simple to operate and convenient. I highly recommend this heater, its the best i've ever had!
