Good Purchase for the price.
It won't replace the heater unit for your entire apartment, or even a studio, but will keep the room warm & cozy when you need it, especially when your apartment is not well isolated to keep the wind and chill outside.
PROS:

CONS:
- Has hard time heating moderate size room to 74F from 63F (central heat is not working) when outside temp is in the 40s and 50s.

This is a good all-around heater, and a huge step up from my old box fan-style heater. It gives out enough to heat a small room and enough to warm up a moderate sized room. It is NOT for large rooms with high ceilings unless you are sitting in front of it. It has kept me warm through the last 4 months, and only seemed a little underpowered on the coldest of nights (15-20 degrees).
Pros:
-Convenient remote that is easy to use
-Oscillation helps spread the heat out
-Thermostat keeps the room from getting too hot
-fairly quiet
Cons:
-display on top is too bright and annoying in a dark room
-lacks a timer to turn ON after 8 hours (I like my room warm in the AM and cooler at night)
-sound may annoy some light sleepers who put it next to the bed

This is my second time purchashing this heater. I bought the last one 6 years ago for my college dorm room to beat the cold Minnesota chill. I recently bought a house that has an addition off the kitchen. The central heating doesn't always reach the room, but this little Lasko heater does the job in no time! The timer is an excellent feature. Set it for an hour before you go to bed and the room is nice and toasty when you are ready to hit the pillow. Since it is easily transferrable from room to room, it allows me to keep my thermostat set lower during the winter months. I'm not sure how accurate the heater's thermostat is, but overall it is an excellent product for the money.Customer Review: I like it

I have mixed feelings for this heater, but I would definitely tell you it is worth the money. Let me say upfront that the only negative feelings that I have for this heater stem from the fact that the first one I bought broke within a week. However I took it back to Walgreen's with the receipt and they immediately replaced it. The second heater has not failed on me once in over four years. It lasted through my entire college career and is still going strong. And I will also say that when this one does crap on me I won't hesitate to buy the newest similar model. The remote control is great for lazy people like me. When I'm all comfortable on my couch under the blankets and the heater is at the other end of the couch I just reach for the remote and turn it on/off. The remote also has buttons for oscillation and temp control. It can get very warm if you are under any covers and its close. And if you would rather place it farther away it will be adequate to heat a small/medium sized room. In short it is worth the fifty or so bucks.
