I purchased one of these units for my healing room at my clinic. I am a body worker and need to keep my room carefully temperature controlled. To my great pleasure, the unit did just that! And exceptionally well. It is very quiet, powerful and full of useful features. Including a remote control, oscillating heat dispersion, excellent blowing power and more. The owner and head doctor of the clinic liked it so much, she ordered two more for clinic use. She keeps one in her room. It makes her very happy. This unit is highly recommended as the best heating unit I or the head doctor have ever used.Customer Review: Confusing

While this heater is smaller than the other Laskos, it heats just as well. While it won't warm a large room, it works quite well in a small one. It heats my 10x12 bathroom at least 10 degrees in 15-20 minutes. I've gotten more use out of this little heater in the past 2-3 months than I thought I ever would. It also feels great just to sit in front of it for a quick warm-up. I'm really happy I decided to buy this.
REVISED 12/31/09: Well, I've had this for over a year and I'm ready to replace it. While still putting out the heat, it's not as warm and only heats on high. The low and temperature settings have also ceased to work. I only use it in my bathroom on mornings where the room is 70 degrees or below, which means approximately 3 1/2 months here in North Carolina. Just don't spend a lot of money on this and don't expect it to last very long.

I did my research, big time! Tested out a few, talked to different manufacturers, read reviews, read tech specs, learned the different technologies. My final decision ...two of the Lasko 6435's - one for my bedroom and one for the front room. Despite plastic on the windows, proper caulking at every baseboard, sealing doors, etc. my place was nonstop cold (HVAC guy gave a passing grade to my heater btw). Finally, an answer and an attractive one! (Is this not the best looking space heater you've seen?!) I love the warmth of my home now and the convenience of the remote control, especially for warming up the room before getting out of bed.
Some measurements to help you in your decision... 9 1/2 ft ceiling, bedroom 11x17 and the frontroom 17x29 open to a hallway 3x17. So, I was skeptical that any space heater would fix the front room chill, but indeed this attractive little powerhouse did. I've tested the timer and the auto-shut off based on the temperature, both good. Note the temperature on this one is set in 5 degree increments, but that worked fine for me since I have it at the max usually anyway.

I use heater fans for my studio apt and I love them. My current one sound like it is on it's last leg and when I saw this one on sale I decided to buy it. Even though it is summer I still had to test it. I love the remote and the fact that is oscillates. It has nice design and the earth tone blends in with my living room. The box that it was shipped in was in perfect shape but the box the item was in, was a little beat up. I did not see any creaks, breakage, or chips. I can't wait to use in the winter. I think my guest will be impress. This is an unusual design.
