Tools and Hardware Reviews of Lasko 751320 Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote ControlCustomer Review: Excellent heater for my bedroom. Summary: 5 Stars
I got tired of $200 a month heating bills. I mearly wanted to heat my bedroom in the mornings and sometimes at night. This heater is perfect! With the remote I can turn the heater off and on from my bed. The ease of use and how it reflected on my heating bill is tremndous. I love the remote. I am partially disabled, so getting in and out of bed to adjust the heater can be trying at times. Yes, it might sound like the height of laziness but it is the best fit for me. I have a large dog and a cat and the animals do not topple the heater at all. It has a great base and the oscillating feature warms the entire room just right.
Customer Review: Excellent product Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this heater for 4 years, I have used it every winter. I recently ordered one as a gift for a friend, she was so impressed with the efficency of this heater, she tried to find one, but could not. It was the perfect gift. You do have to keep the dust out of the vents in the rear of the heater. This is an excellent heater.
Customer Review: Excellent product with one drawback Summary: 4 Stars
We've used this product all winter to keep our toddler's room cozy at night. We chose it for the thermostat feature, which has served us well. His 9x9 room heats up in no time. We previously owned a small heater that was quite loud when switching off and on, and were very pleased that this is NOT the case with this product.
The only thing I wish I would have known before purchasing is that with each selection of the digital pad comes a loud beep. So if I sneak into his room and decide to change the settings at night it can be quite loud. And to go from say, 75 degrees to 70 you have to go through all the temperatures in between.
Other than that, we're very pleased!
Customer Review: Finally! Summary: 5 Stars
Reading the other reviews of this product I realized I had to write one of my own to help potential purchases realize they will really be missing out if they bypass this heater. This is the fourth space heater I've purchased in the last two months and finally one I can keep.
My living room has three sets of glass french doors, high ceilings, and lots of windows. It is very hard to heat it, but there is no central heating system, so I have to rely on space heaters. I tried the expensive Vornado (over $100), which didn't make a dent in the cold, the noisy Honeywell oscillator (which not only gave me a headache it was so loud, but also didn't provide quite enough heat, though it heated better than the Vornado), and the WindChaser radiant heater (which left the room freezing cold but made me sweat at the same time, extremely unpleasant). Finally I found this item.
It heats the room to the point where it actually shuts off sometimes, having reached the desired 65 degrees at night or 70 degrees in the day. The fan is as quiet as the Vornado when on high and is even quieter when on low. The quietest heater I've ever found. And as for the cord, while my oil filled heater does have a thicker cord and I do notice that this cord gets warm where that one doesn't, after 96 hours of continuous usage, it is just barely warm. Hardly anything I would worry about starting a fire, though a thicker cord would be a good investment for the manufacturer to make.
Given the natural limitations of space heaters, I think you simply can't do better than this one. If this heater doesn't work for you, then an electric space heater isn't going to do it for you and you should be looking at other heating options entirely.
Customer Review: Fine, but temp control increments too large Summary: 3 Stars
It's a fine product, brings temp up quickly, oscillation is a great idea. The main knock against it is that the temperature setting increments are 5 degrees; 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 then MAX. If they had made the increments smaller, grouped around the range between 65 and 75, then MAX, it would be better. For me, 65 too cool and 70 too warm. Otherwise, very good product.
