Customer Review: Good space heater - If you are looking for a room heater, look elsewhere!

I was excited to pickup this product after a large % of good reviews at Amazon; Here is my take on this:
+ Good thermostat control - although it the filament most likely measures the temperature of the blades and not the surrounding air - so you can imagine a slight delay...
+ Fairly good swivel action and angle
+ Can really feel the warmth at close proximity - doesn't work very well if you are sleeping
+ Timer feature works well
- Don't think its effective as a room heater - Perhaps because the previous winter was exceptionally cold or maybe my expectations were too high; but this just couldn't keep up with the cold.
- If you use it through the night, you will wake up feeling extremely dry in your throat - probably the case with most ceramic heaters - kills all moisture in the air
The verdict! - Fair heater for the price, with decent set of features; But if you are looking for an alternative to your old (and power hungry) room heating, look elsewhere - A bigger model perhaps..

We got this heater for the nursery in mid-winter when all stores were hittong on spring. It was a good buy. It heats a 12 x 12 room pretty quickly. I just wish Lasko makes a heater with good wires behind. This is our third heater from Lasko and we liked all our previous purchases too. Excet that the wires break off slowly and there is no way to repair that. At least we dont know of any.Customer Review: Good.. kinda.. for two weeks

Nice heater with remote, Lasko is a leader with these.. other reviews look good... so I got it:
Pro:
- fan is fairly quiet... at first
- easy to use remote with big buttons
- light
- will run on its side if you need to set it on top of a table
- exterior is nice and cool to the touch
Con:
- fan circulation is a little light and is only one speed
- beeps when using controls or remote are excessively loud if someone is trying rest which is really the primary use for me, keeping warm for sleep or nap
- the fan slowly got louder over the first couple of weeks of use until it was too loud to use (hence explaining why some reviews say noisy and some say not)
fairly good product but doesn't hold up and after two weeks its unusable for me because I need quiet.

I bought space heater about a month ago and I absolutely love it! This space heater works well and the motor is very quiet. I bought it for my office at work and it will heat the room in about an hour. Before you know it, you can feel the warmth, you soon find yourself lowering the temperature. I'm not an electrician, but the chord itself feels very safe because its not the typical stiff white plastic type. The remote control is a very nice touch too! I would recommend this product to anyone.Customer Review: Great Buy!

I was looking for a space heater for one bedroom and this tower heater was great. It is very easy to set up and figure out. I would recommend getting this for those cold nights when you want to create a warm nooke. This is not for a huge room but is best for a bedroom.
