The Lasko 754200 is a great little heater for the price. Some other reviews criticize the noise, but considering how much output this little guy has, I was personally surprised at how quiet it was. (Yes, it does make a subtle fan noise) I use it for heating up by bathroom when I go to take a shower in the morning. I live in a very cold area and the bathroom can drop to under 50f which will open your eyes when you step out of the shower. I turn it on when I jump in the shower and five minutes later when I step out it is a toasty 65f+. My bathroom is about 40sq ft. It does all that it is advertised to do and more! Amazon's price is very competitive and about 30% lower than in the local retail stores. Overall, a great buy!

Before I bought this, I looked at the reviews, I really did. A lot of people complained it was loud, but as I was planning on using my heater while I was working and listening to music, I didn't worry too much.
When I received mine, it was a bit louder than I expected. In fact, it made a grinding noise every 30 seconds or so. Like it was missing a tooth off one of the gears.
But I ignored it (I was warned it was loud) and began working.
The next day the noise interval became every 20 seconds or so.
The next day the noise interval became every 10 seconds or so.
Yesterday the motor seized.

I will be returning my ceramic heater.

I'm forced to live in an extremely cold dorm room until the summer of next year, and even though the weather's been great, it always feels like winter inside my little room. The Lasko 754200 Ceramic Heater is JUST what I needed. A great price for a great product--it does exactly what I hoped it would do! You can change the tempeature to suit your needs, or if you want to cool your room down you can turn on its built-in fan! It doesn't take long at all to heat up my room.

I definitely recommend this!
