Note: using this blower under the dinner/picnic table is a great way to keep diners comfortable without cooling down food and blowing around napkins.
As the other reviews state, this is a very good blower. It's lightweight, powerful, and quiet. I just wish you could adjust the width of the air stream it produces. We use this blower primarily on the deck to keep cool and prevent mosquitoes from landing on us (as well as the occasional drying job or working outdoors). The blower does this well, except since the air stream is so narrow, only one, maybe two people can enjoy it at a time. I would gladly sacrifice some power for wider coverage. I also wish there was a fourth, very low setting (in addition to the high, medium, and low), so we could use this blower as a personal fan comfortably (it's usually too strong for that even when set on low). Otherwise, if you added a remote and oscillation, it could be the world's greatest fan!

I bought this fan for my room to sleep with at night. I'm the type that gets hot in the middle of the night even if the AC is low. This fan makes me feel like I'm a tropical paradise :) It blows air like you don't even know! I use it at the lowest setting because anything higher than that is too much. The lowest setting isn't really loud and it actually is a nice background noise for sleeping (some people like noise).
Anyway, if you are thinking of getting a fan for anything, get this fan. It will blow you away :)

Performs almost as well as $300 industrial air movers... for 40 bucks; it's amazing. We use it to circulate the air through our house between two 10,000 btu air conditioning units (that we also purchased on Amazon--you can check them out they are 10,000 BTU HAIER units--they rock too!. We have about 1,100 sq ft. and this air mover does the job. We feel cool, and it keeps all of our electronics at operating temperatures. They are also a lot cheaper here on Amazon than at any home improvement store. I definately recommend this product.Customer Review: Best fan I've ever owned! And I usually only read reviews!

I read hundreds of product reviews every year and have for 10 years, but almost never write one. I bought this fan at a Wal-mart a month ago for $45. I had not read any reviews, but wandered by the fan aisle at Wal-Mart that day. I wanted to find the quietest and most powerful. Guess what? It turned out the same fan was quietest and most powerful! That got my attention first. Next as I stood in front of it, it honestly cooled me off even there in the store and I got that same wonderful feeling I had when I was in grade school and we had the big fan on the floor and I'd aim it up and let it blow up my t-shirt. I winced a bit at the $45 price since many simple fans are half the price. I went ahead and bought it spur of the moment (as I had no plans to buy or consider a fan). I keep it near my recliner where I watch TV and it has saved me much in AC bills as it keeps me cool with that strong stream of air. Also, when I travel by car, I take it with me and it's a fantastic thing to have in the hotel room as it equalizes the temp and provides a steady strong stream to cool off completely in less than a minute when you've been out in the hot Texas weather. I'm thinking of getting several more so I don't have to pick this one up and move it with me. I'm certified in disaster recovery and this would be an excellent fan to more quickly dry an area which potentially could be at risk for mold if left for more than 48 hours. It's one of those products that now I would fight to keep! Not bad for an impulse purchase!!
I'd recommend this over any fan I've ever had. Buy it and you will find many uses for it that will truly save you.
