Tools and Hardware Reviews of Leatherman 70202003 Juice S2Customer Review: compact, versatile tool Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this tool because I was tired of having to go down to the basement or out to the garage everytime I needed a screwdriver, knife, pliers, etc. I also use it extensively when I go sailing (the bottle opener makes me the most popular guy after a day of racing.) I chose this model because of its compactness and I did not need a corkscrew. It fits nicely in my pocket, is not excessively heavy or bulky, and has great ergonomics-much better than my Swiss Army knife. I carry it with me at all time and now I don't have to remember to bring an armful of tools with me as I work on projects around the house.
Customer Review: great for us lightweights Summary: 4 Stars
I don't need a tool that can do everything except have it's own battery pack...I just need something that will help me tighten screws on instruments and tighten a loose nut occasionally. For me, this suits the bill. It's small enough that it lives happily in my purse regularly and isn't too bulky when I want to keep it in my pocket. This isn't for people who need the heavy-duty tools and capabilities, but for the rest of us...this fits well.
Customer Review: great pocket multitool Summary: 5 Stars
The S2 is my daily carry tool. I prefer to carry it over my Wave simply due to size. Although the Wave is a bigger and more useful multitool, the S2 is the perfect pocket carry compromise. The plier are solid and and well made for their size and as with every Leatherman the blade is very sharp. When you own larger multitools there are always other blades and items that were available but 90% of what I really use is available on the S2. I went for the S2 for size and of prefer scissor over a cork screw. I guess if you are constantly opening wine then the C2 would be nice but for the rest of the normal world I would think the scissors would be more useful. I also own a Swiss Army Champ which has tons of tools but is like carrying a lead weight in your pocket. The S2 is the perfect balance, it goes with me everywhere.
Customer Review: i like it Summary: 5 Stars
First thing I noticed is that it's smaller then I expected. It's about as long as my pointer finger. The color is a bit redder and metallic then the pictures would lead. I love the paint, and I'll cry the first time i scrach it. The scissors are better then I expected, though I don't like how you have to open the can opener to reach it. The knife is very sharp, and should last a long time. Overall, this Leatherman is very stylish, and gets attention. Some things I don't like is that when open, the handles arch exactly opposite of my hands (could be a personal problem), and the pliers are fairly stiff, which makes it difficult to open with one hand while using it. It was probably made this way so that they would stay closed. This one not even close to perfect, but they are getting there. I also bought the crunch with this one. I haven't yet received it, but when I do I hope it works as well as this. dont tell them, but my brother and my dad are each getting one of these for Christmas...;)
Customer Review: juicy s2 Summary: 5 Stars
My swiss army finally gave out on me, and i needed a replacment. I bought I wave leatherman a few years back for an upgrade, but haven't used it because it's too large to carry around in my pocket, and i don't want a sheath hangin on me all day. So i did a little research and picked up the juice s2. I don't even notice it in my pocket..which is a good thing.. It has BOTH scissors and the pliers.. goodgood.. I love the feel and finish/color. I do however miss my sharp hole poking device (whatever it's called) and my tweeezers. I know i can't have everything in the compact design, but maybe instead of 3 sizes of staightblade screwdrivers (almost always use phillps instead), they could have thrown in my requested device or even another small blade (this only has the one)..... Haven't had it long enough to comment on the durability, but it feels rugged enough.. overall, i'd say go for this if your going to carry it in your pocket mostly, but upgrade for more TOYS if your going to sheath it.
