Customer Review: Phenomenal on several levels!

I ordered my desk in Oak, and there was zero smell due to staining, which someone mentioned. It is made out of solid bamboo wood which I have learned is one of the hardest woods. I bought this desk, the hutch and the well-named "peninsula". I have the perfect workstation. Bamboo is a good choice for the wood because it is holding a full-sized desktop computer, a monitor, two (larger than regular computer-sized) Bose speakers that sit atop the hutch on either side of a full-sized all-in-one printer with room to spare.
My pieces came by UPS, so I did not have to worry about dealing with a trucking company. When it all arrived, I got them out of their packaging and put together within a half hour. Putting it together is not only easy (to say the least) but foolproof. Like a puzzle, the pieces only fit together if they are in the right place.
The price was affordable for real wood, (not the usual fiberboard) and it looks really great. It is the kind of furniture I used to see in catalogs and think, "wow, I wish I could afford furniture like that". I am just a year out of college, in a new job, so my budget is on the tight side. This was a very smart purchase.
I should say that the desk and the peninsula lock together perfectly, and the hutch sits directly on the desk. Its height, weight and design keeps it firmly in place. Another reason why I love this furniture is that it has built-in openings in inconspicuous places, and both the desk and the peninsula have backs that go all the way to the floor. No longer do I have an unsightly (and tangled) bunch of wires all over. By way of using the openings, and the fully-backed desk and peninsula, all of the wires are just about hidden until they get to the two power strips under the peninsula. There are even openings in the hutch that I used for the same purpose.
I am putting some money aside to buy a pair of the bookshelves this company makes. I am not surprised to see that they have a five star rating. By the way, I am writing this several months after I've had this furniture, and if anything, I've grown to like and appreciate it more during this period of time. It has not shown any wear such as buckling, creaking or or becoming less stable.

Plus, all the wood Legaré uses is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
This 48-inch straight desk makes a hip modern office statement either alone or attached to a larger Legaré configuration with peninsulas, bridges, or extensions on either side. The desk comes with two 18-inch shelves and the asymmetric reversible design allows them to be placed on either the left or right side in three different slots (spaced 6-3/8 inches apart). Conveniently placed cutouts provide concealed cable management, and a low back riser can hold an accessory shelf or hutch. Available in an ash veneer with an Espresso finish and an oak veneer with a Wheat finish, the desk requires only two minutes to assemble and a few seconds to disassemble.
