I needed an opener for a 10 foot high door in my pole-barn. This unit was the most reasonably priced one for a door this size. I had just installed another brand on a door in the garage(a 8 foot door) and I had a terrable time getting all the sensors to work. This opener was very easy to install. I had a bit of a problem programing it once installed, but once I figured that out the rest was easy. A lot of nice features.
Description of LiftMaster 3800 Residential Jackshaft Garage Door Opener
Wall-mount installation - mounts on the left or right side of door. No rails to hang, it simply mounts on the wall and attaches to the garage door torsion bar. Unit requires an electrical outlet within 6 feet. Patented absolute positioning technology - the newest technology in garage door openers.
