Bought this thermostat almost a year ago and have been pleased. Installation was super easy and quick - I had it running in no time. It took a little trial and error while programming (did not read instructions), but once I got the hang of clicking 'yes' versus 'next', it was a piece of cake.
I really like that we can program all 7 days. It works great - highly recommend this product! Will be buying another one for husband's office.

Overall, this product has been good, but the night light has never worked. My husband installed it pretty easily and everything has been great, but when we tried using the night light it would not turn on. I called the number on the brochure to see if maybe we did something wrong or if it was an easy fix. They said to return the product. Unfortunately, my husband threw all the packaging away and we can't. So....we like the thermostat, but I would have loved having the night light for adjusting at night.Customer Review: Good, but not great

I got the Lux TX9000TS as a replacement for a failed ecoline high end model. I figured since the ecoline failed after two years, why go back to them. After checking with Consumer Reports on-line I found that the Lux was the most highly rated so I bought it.
I guess my biggest disappointment is that I can't keep the back-light on: it's got a timer that turns it off after a set period of time. Since the thing is powered by the furnace, what's the problem leaving the back-light on? I can't imagine that it consumes more than a fraction of a watt. Anyway, that's really only an issue since I have it located in a dark hallway.
My second gripe is that using a touchscreen to control everything forces you to go through a bunch of steps that you would have to go through if you have a few key switches. It's not terrible, just sub optimal. Now having said that, since I programmed the unit, I haven't needed to use it, change settings, or do anything else, for that matter, except press the back-light button to see what the temperature is, so maybe it's not all that bad.
Bottom line: I think if your thermostat is in a brightly lit area then you'll be fine with this one. If, on the other hand, it's in a dark hallway and when you walk by you'd like to be able to glance over at it and read the temperature then you'll be mildly disappointed.

Ok, I chose this thermostat because Consumer Reports rated it the best. The sale of it to me was for the best price I found and all went well with receiving it. I love it !! It is simply the best thermostat, and you have to love the touch screen. Also, here in my late 40s, my vision is not so keen without reading glasses, but, this thermostat has LARGE, easily read numbers and symbols...can read as passing (not run and get glasses !)...love it !! The programmable settings, and the easily read instructions make life so much easier ! Clearly the best.Customer Review: Great Product

This is a great thermostat. It is very easy to install and programming was easy with common since touch screen commands. This thermostat holds temperatures very well. I researched many different brands and chose this one based on the top rating and best buy by Consumer Reports. I would highly recommend this thermostat.
