Just what we've been looking for to control a space heater in a RV. Was planning on building our own control using a 110V timer ... until I found this. Haven't had it long enough to test its durability; but outward indications are great construction compared to a different brand of set-back thermostat we recently purchased for the house. Accuracy is right-on; and the comfort zone is great compared to using the heater's thermostat. Very easy to program. We would recommend this item ... can't build it for this price.
Lux's website states this is "not for use on Electronically Controlled Space Heaters"; the package states "not for use on Electronically Controlled Space Heaters"; and the manual (downloadable from Lux's website) states "WARNING: For use only with Air Conditioners and space heaters that automatically restart cooling and heating operation after power reconnection". So why would one give this item a bad rating because it won't work with an electronic controlled space heater?? As all three warning indicate 'If your heater won't restart when you unplug it and plug it back in, this control will not work for you'.
Also Lux's website states "Setting Range 45° F to 90° F". Can't fault the control because it won't work at 40° F.

I bought this outlet thermostat to use with a oil filled radiator for in my 1.5yr old's bedroom. We turn the heat down at night and i wanted to make sure that he stayed warm since he doesn't keep a blanket on him. This has worked great for this purpose. It turns on and off automatically as needed to regulate the temp. in the room. I keep it between the wall w/ the window and his crib, and have it blocked off so he can't get to it and mess with it. Such a wonderful invention. At first i tried to purchase it at a local home improvement store, but they didn't even know that such a thing existed.Customer Review: Great Product

I have been looking for a product like this for years to connect with a warning light to indicate a drop in room temperature which would mean a furnace problem. It works great for this and costs only about 50% more than the Winter Watchman type products which have never functioned reliably for me. I can also use this product to energize a space heater in winter and a fan in summer to control ambient temperature. The product is easy to program and has been very accurate in temperature indication. The screen alternately displays the time and the current temperature. The set point temperature and "heat" or "cool" mode is shown in the background. I love this item.Customer Review: Great Product

Works great. Using it for my wood stove fan. When stove cools off over night the fan shuts off preventing the it from blowing cold air around. Once the temp. gets hot enough, the fan turns back on.
