Customer Review: 1/4 inch cutting bit cracked in half at the shaft 30 minutes into use

That's 30 minutes total time, perhaps 2 minutes of actual router run time. I was running it with a ~1/2" deep cut through cherry. Should I have done it in multiple passes? Perhaps that would have prevented the breakage. But it shouldn't have broken so quickly; I was running it on a table mounted router and feeding very slowly. Haven't decided whether to return the whole set, I will do multiple passes next time and if another gives me any trouble they're going back.
