I bought this exact same magnifying glass from the Dollar Store a couple of years ago. The light worked for about 2 days then stopped working although the light bulb didn't break. Since I only spent a dollar for it I really can't complain because it certainly is worth a buck or two. The lens is weak but fine for what I need it for. I use it to look at poorly printed, copied or teeny-tiny music notation where items are sometimes very hard to make out without magnification. I keep it by my music stand and since I have a lamp attached to my music stand I don't need the light the magnifying glass was supposed to supply. Though functional, I would not spend over a couple dollars for it and certainly not any more for shipping.
