I had bought and used these solar lights before from Home Depot and Lowes for the frontyard and walk path/steps. I wanted to put more around the house in the back and sideyard. These were much cheaper than the stores mentioned above ($39-44). If the solar panel is placed in an area with maximum sun exposure the charge can keep the lights on throughout the night. The LED lights are very bright and are great for walkway paths and steps. I now own four sets of these babies.Customer Review: Has Been Working As Advertised

When the unit was received, one of the three NIMH batteries (1500mah) was beyond help. How do I know ... I'm a retired Electronics Engineer with a LOT of training and experience in batteries of various technologies. Called the Intermatic folks and they sent me not just "a" replacement battery, but a new 3-pack. Good for them! While waiting for the replacement(s), I used some 2500mah NIMH batteries that I had laying around and the system worked great. Granted, being in the Desert Southwest the charging was never a problem. The lights (and I only installed 2 of the 3 since that was all I needed) stayed bright all night and into the morning until shutoff. Once the replacement batteries arrived I installed them and the system still works great, even on our rare cloudy days. I should point out that because of the scrub bush that I wanted to hide the solar panel behind I mounted it approximately 3.5 feet off the ground to maximize the exposure to the day's sunlight. I mounted these light above my front door with the screw base mounts. They light the area perfectly!
Even on cloudy overcast days, the batteries charge.
My only gripe was that the wires were WAYYY to long for my use. A snipper and eletrician tape took care of that!
Will buy several more soon.

Based on the statement, "Our most powerful solar floodlight... provide improved light output," I purchased three sets. Unfortunately, the light output is very disappointing. IMHO, you shouldn't expect anything more than mere accent lighting from this unit. To refer to these as "floodlights" is to misrepresent this product. There certainly is no flood of light, so don't expect to light up the night. I've got a brighter flashlight on my keychain.Customer Review: I love these solar landscape lights...!

I purchased 3 sets of these lights to use as uplighting around the front of my home. I am impressed with the amount of light that these put out and how easy they are to install. Not enough to "shine" through the windows to disturb the darkness but a nice glow to illuminate the landscape. I am going to order 2 more sets for each side, they look kind of bare compared to the front. They are in no way as bright as the electic powered lights but they are just as pretty. I put them out today and a couple of my neighbors approched me this evening and asked me "who did your lighting"...
