Customer Review: Aesthetically Pleasing but a bit Lacking

I love the looks of these over mitts and they're quite comfortable to wear, coming up my forearm enough to adequately protect me from grease splatter. The one huge drawback is that they're not quite as heat resistant as I thought. Removing a 450 degree cast iron pan from the oven is something you learn to do quickly as within 30 seconds of holding it the heat has already made its way through the mitt. They have also singed quite a bit with the material starting to brown although there are no holes at this point. I tend to use these for a lot of high heat grabs (400+ degree pans and pots) but I had hoped they would weather a bit better.
