Tools and Hardware Reviews of Mark Feldstein VL8 Charging Valet, Satin BlackCustomer Review: Mixed review, please read before purchasing. Summary: 3 Stars
As the other reviews state, there were some construction quality issues. When I was removing it from the box the pull out drawer fell apart. Gluing it back together was pretty simple, but the slot had a drawer catch so i couldn't insert the repaired drawer. After struggling with it for an hour my husband thought to saw off the dowel that served as the drawer catch. The rest of the unit is sturdy. Also the 4 outlet power stip only fits 2 cell phone chargers at a time. I don't regret purchasing this item as the price was fair and I was aware from the other reviews that I might encounter these problems. Overall, we like it. We only have two phones anyways and after repairing the drawer there haven't been any other problems. I know someone else stated it looked like cheap plastic but it is wood and looks very nice.
Customer Review: My wife likes it more than I do.... Summary: 5 Stars
The charging valet has helped me with my age old problem of finding my keys. They are now always located on the charging valet, next to my wallet, watch, and cell phone. It is very convenient to have one station that keeps everything together. In fact, my wife likes it more than I do since it forces me to be a bit more organized and have all of my stuff stored neatly on the valet.
The drawer on the valet is not overly large - about 1 1/2" high by 10" wide and 8" deep, but it is big enough for me to store my shoe horn, collar picks, and extra chapsticks - these are items that I previously stored in various places throughout the bed room. Now I always know exactly where to look for all of my items.
The Charging Valet has a nice designer look and does not look cheap. In fact, it kind of reminds me of a mail jewelry box...only manly-er.
Pros-
- Comes with a hide away power strip
- Fits in with many decors
- Well designed to maximize space but eliminate your ability to make it look "Cluttered".
Areas of improvement -
- The power strip does not fit in the spot it is designed for.
- When you need to remove your charger (such as your phone charger for travel) it can be a bit clumsy and cause things to start falling off. However, this is a pretty minor point.
Final verdict, the Charging Valet has help to make my life a little more organized and that has made both me and my wife that much happier.
4 1/2 stars.
Customer Review: NOT AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS Summary: 1 Stars
I was of the opinion this would really help me organize my office and purchased two of them.
Bottom line is with the bulky connections the chargers have now days there is no way to plug everything in.

Customer Review: Nice charging valet Summary: 4 Stars
Got this valet after doing some research on Amazon and other store sites. Overall I'm happy with it, although the surface (where the electronic devices lie) is sort of a felt/velvet material, and with it also being black it does attract dust. It also doesn't accommodate as many of the plugs if they have unusual shapes.
Customer Review: Nice desktop unit. Summary: 4 Stars
Nice unit for the price. Looks good on the office desk at home. Three charging bays, handy drawer. Adds to the organazation of smaller objects, keys, sunglasses, watches, cell phones, etc.
