Tools and Hardware Reviews of Master Lock 265DCCSEN Dual-Function Security BarCustomer Review: Broken within 5 sec Summary: 1 Stars
As I unpacked this item and slipped from my hand and fell on the hardwood floor and broke. This is suppose to withstand someone pushing on a door. Not much faith here.
Customer Review: Can anyone help with this product? Summary: 4 Stars
I desperately need this product but am not sure if it will work with carpeted floors? It seems that it would only work on hard wood floors, so it has something to brace itself on? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Customer Review: Can be placed in different locations Summary: 5 Stars
This item had very easy instructions, so even I was able to put it together and use it. I have it guarding my front, sliding door window. The window can't be budged, so it holds a strong grip. I feel safer.
Customer Review: Can't even survive Shipping... Summary: 2 Stars
I ordered two of these. One arrived intact while the other was broken at the top. Top piece is made of plastic and broke in half before even being delivered. I installed the other one but don't have much faith in it, didn't give me the piece of mind I was looking for.
Customer Review: Completely useless !! Summary: 1 Stars
The silver button that locks the bar length in place slips out of the hole VERY easily, allowing the bar to collapse. I tested this bar by simply leaning with my full weight (220 lbs) on the outside of the door, and the button gave way, allowing the door to open freely. This little button BARELY makes it through the hole on the bar. Rather than return this thing, I am going to use my drill to make some modifications, and use another metal pin to lock the bar in place. Also, the foot of this thing slips pretty easily, even when moistened and pressed against a high-friction floor.
Master Lock should be very ashamed of this piece of garbage. It will negatively influence my future security purchases.
