I bought this for hiding my key while I go surfing. The non-remote key for my Honda Ridgeline is very large. My wetsuit pocket won't hold it and neither will a leash pocket. Using a ring on the wetsuit zipper is a hassle too, so I figured I'd give this a go. It won't hold the Remote Key, that's for sure, but the spare non-remote fits diagonally just fine. I read another surfer's review of this lock case and I'm not sure what his problem is. Maybe his fingers aren't nimble after a cold session? In SoCal, this works fine for me. I latch it on the tie-down in my truck bed. It's secure and while it's not hidden, it really isn't too noticable. I've read other reviews that criticized this unit getting stuck. I had that happen too, but with a little lubricant, it's now working fine. I guess I'll need to maintain it because of the salt air, water, and sand that will get in the unit. I've also read about the combination being "accidently" reset. I think it would be pretty difficult to do by accident, but if it did happen, the default combination would get the lock open again. I had some repairs done at my home and several workers needed to access the property. Instead giving each one a key I used the master lock 5400D. I changed the combo for each contractor to keep control who was accessing the property. It is large enough to hold several keys. It worked out great! Bought two of these to use outside with house keys so no one would ever be locked out again. Much more secure that hiding the key under a rock. Not just for realtors!
