A lock really only needs to do 2 things, lock, and unlock, mine would unlock ok but would not lock until i hit it against something, which is not easy to do hanging off a door. And yes, I used the switch thats supposed to cause it to lock. I'm sure I just got a defective one, but amazon doesnt allow you to request a replacement only return it, so I think ill try another one this time.Customer Review: Just what I needed.

This safe works perfectly for what I bought it for - namely as a safe place to leave my motorcycle keys while I swim in the ocean. The hasp fits nicely around the motorcycle's handlebars and the keys are secure inside. I have a Property Management business, and use these keyboxes in order to provide access to a home by contractors while we are preparing a home to lease. They have saved me lots of time, and wasted mileage meeting contractors to let them in. Using the boxes is also easier, and cheaper than having keys made for each contractor, then having to retrieve the keys from them once they are finished.
