Tools and Hardware Reviews of Master Lock 90TRISPT Keyed-Alike Gun Locks, 3-PackCustomer Review: Works as designed... Not a problem Summary: 3 Stars
Purchased to provide a bit of peace of mind for my Ruger GP-100. Doesn't fit perfectly, but does the job. I have yet to try affixing one to my Benelli SuperNova. For the price, per piece, you pretty much can't go wrong.
Customer Review: Works fine just bulky Summary: 4 Stars
These work fine but I am giving it 4 stars because they are so bulky. If you want to keep your gun in the factory plastic case and shut this will not work for you as the lock pin is super long (not sure why). But for the price they are good. Comes with 6 keys!!! Seem very durable and does the job. I just wish they weren't so bulky hence the 4 stars. Fast shipping by Amazon.con as always. (I am not an employee-haha! just like amazon's speed)
Customer Review: Works for me! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these just to feel like I had an extra measure of security for the house guns. The gun locks felt heavier and more rugged than I had expected for the price. Nice surprise! No trouble attaching them to a rifle, semiautomatic, and revolver. Another nice surprise! They arrived quickly, safely, and were as described (but better). And they came with 6 keys. Yet another pleasant experience. Nuthin' but love for the locks, but the package was one of those heavy, heat-sealed clam shell devices that seem always to leave me with a cut, whether from my knife or scissors, or from the sharp corners left when trying to break into it to get to the merchandise so temptingly close. I might just hang the next package on a tree and shoot out a side seam instead. But the locks are good and very much worth the price. Best thing I can say? Even with my un-joy of opening of the package, I'd purchase these locks again. I done good!
Customer Review: Works on some firearms. Summary: 4 Stars
These locks are well made and worked on some of my firearms. It fit my Smith & Wesson .38, Westerfield 12 gauge shotgun, and .303 Lithgow really well. My Sears Roebuck-Ted Williams .22 has a small trigger guard so the lock did not fit very well, but did work. It did not fit my H&K USP 40 at all. It seems to work best on rifiles/pistols with a large oval trigger guard. Small oval guards it doesn't work very well with and square guards it doesn't work at all. So if it happens to fit your gun properly then it is an excellent lock.
Customer Review: doesn't work well with lever-action rifles. Summary: 2 Stars
Works great on firearms with a fixed trigger guard.
However, on my two lever-action rifles, it's not very effective -- probably no surprise, given the design. On an older Winchester 94, I can get position it to lock the trigger guard and trigger together, with some effort. On a Winchester 9422, it attaches itself to the trigger guard, and it just slides off of the trigger itself when the lever is used. The rifle can be loaded, cocked, and fired with the lock still in place.
