THIS UNIT WORKS HAND IN HAND WITH THE MASTERTPLATE (410-01) FOR CHECKING PARALLELISM OF MITER SLOT TO ARBOR AND MITER SLOT TO FENCE. YOU CAN ALSO USE THIS FOR CHECKING THE RUNOUT ON YOUR ARBOR. KEEP IN MIND THE SUPPLIED DIAL INDICATOR IS IN THOUSANDTHS OF AN INCH .001"-1.0" WHICH SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH ACCURACY FOR WOODWORK. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I WOULD RECCOMEND FOR A MACHINIST.THE SUPPLIED PLASTIC HOLDER/MITER SLIDER FEELS KIND OF CHEAPY BUT DOES ITS JOB SO LONG AS YOU SET IT PER THE INSTRUCTIONS AND MAKE SURE YOUR MITER SLOTS ARE CLEAN AND FREE OFF ANY BUILDUP OF WAX OR WOOD DUST, OR SLIDING WILL BE DIFFICULT AND YOUR READINGS WILL PROBABLY BE OFF.YOU CAN ALSO USE THIS FOR CHECKING RUNOUT ON A DRILL PRESS OR HAND DRILL IF YOU WANTED TO YOU MAY WANT TO THINK ABOUT GETTING A DIAL INDICATOR THATS A LITTLE MORE PRECISE THOUGH. I thought about this, but went with spending a few bucks more for the TS-Aligner Jr and am ticled with it. Nothing is cheap plastic and it is beatifully machined. I thought my saw was dead on until I got the TS Aligner. Not only was my stock blade warped, but the fence was .011" toe in at the outfeed end. Now I am getting a decent blade and the fence is set toe out .001". It also allowed me to confirm that both arbor shaft and runout were less than .001".Customer Review: The most accurate device for setting up a table saw

I'm a professional and always set up equipment the way my mentors did. I decided to try the super bar when I bought my new cabinet saw, and it set my fence precisely on the money. I eliminated burning, most kick backs, or binding typical when using a saw. Best money I ever spent and highly recommend this tool for anyone looking for precision....Customer Review: Works, but doesn't feel like a quality tool

I used this tool to align the blade on a Grizzly G1023 table saw. I also used the MasterPlate. I have to say that although this tool performs as advertised, the cheap plastic base is pretty lame. I already had a dial indicator with a magnetic base, but I thought the MasterGage would be simpler to use. I was wrong. Assembling the tool is not difficult but involves fooling around with small parts twice: once when taking the tool out and again when putting it back. They at least should have a box that let's you store it assembled.Customer Review: good product

easy to use, accurate, good price. used for setting up my table saw, cut are straight and made with little effort, no burning or binding. allows my table saw to work to its full potential safely and accurately.
