Customer Review: Bright compared to what?

Like all LED nighlights I've tried, these may be bright to look at, but LED's can't compare with the room-filling (and 'soft') light of a plain-old-incandescent night light. Like all LED night lights I've tried, this one's illumination only extends about 6-8 inches from the unit. And, although this one being reviewed IS somewhat brighter than most other LED-type night lights, it can't illuminate, let's say, and entire bathroom. They'll only 'shed' light on VERY nearby objects.
